Two consecutive evenings. Two innovation awards. A proud milestone for the team behind Geco Connect.

The Solutions on Demand Group has won the Innovation in Business Award at the Glasgow Business Awards 2026 and the Innovation Award at the Ayrshire Business Awards 2026, with Geco Connect forming an important part of the Group’s innovation story.

The Glasgow award was presented on Thursday 1 October at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central, followed by the Ayrshire award on Friday 2 October.

The Group also received the Glasgow award for Best Performing Small-Medium Business, bringing the total to three awards across the two nights.

Recognition for innovation with a purpose

For everyone involved in Geco Connect, these achievements are an opportunity to celebrate the work behind the platform and bring its purpose to a wider audience.

Across residential care and specialist education, professionals carry significant responsibilities for recording information, coordinating support and evidencing progress. These tasks are essential, but duplicated administration and disconnected records can make them more time-consuming than they need to be.

Geco Connect was developed to help address those challenges.

The platform is designed to reduce repeated paperwork, support clearer reporting and help teams make better use of the information they already record. Its ambition is to give professionals more time to focus on children, young people and the relationships at the heart of their work.

Bringing care and education into the spotlight

Recognition at both awards creates an opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges facing the sector and the potential for thoughtfully developed technology to help.

Behind every care record is a child or young person with their own experiences, relationships and aspirations. Behind every report is a professional working to understand those experiences and provide the right support.

Those people remain the focus of Geco’s development.

We want the attention generated by these awards to encourage further conversations with practitioners, service leaders and others who can contribute their knowledge and help shape what comes next.

A shared achievement and a continuing commitment

These awards are a proud moment for our colleagues and the collaborators who have contributed their time, expertise and ideas to Geco Connect.

They are also encouragement to keep listening, learning and developing the platform around the realities of care and education.

Thank you to Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, the awards organisers and everyone who has supported the journey so far.

We are delighted to celebrate this recognition. Our focus now is on building on it through work that supports the sector and keeps children and young people at its centre.
